Abstract

This article aims to reflect on the main impacts on the health and education of disabled people in the covid-19 pandemic. It tries, through reflections, to propose debates on the segregation of minorities that have become more visible because of this situation that affects the population. The method used was qualitative-theoretical without numbers and of bibliographic-phenomenological intention. First, it discusses what disability is under the social-anthropological model that differs from the medical model to better understand the facts. Then, it presents a topic on the health of the person with disabilities during the pandemic and difficulties in accessing services. Finally, it presents discussions on the challenges and possibilities in education to serve the public with new technologies. After the considerations and the results presented, it is possible to conclude that there is a long and transversal path to be followed that goes through public health and education policies to understand the needs of people with disabilities during and after the pandemic.
