This article aims to address issues about implementing the distance and remote teaching model that includes sending classes and teaching activities via digital technologies, in the reality of a Special Education school. It also addresses challenges that this new teaching and learning process brought to the fore by the sanitary crisis of the Covid-19 pandemic. Considering that education is a right for all, Special Education should be a right and with equal opportunities, emphasizing the essential care for health and life preservation, it was necessary to adapt the curriculum, dialogue with family members, training professionals, and resources technologies, which are presented by the report of this experience throughout 2020. Through a bibliographical survey and experience report, we sought to deepen the relevance and feasibility of teaching and learning for students with multiple or intellectual disabilities in the remote teaching model. In conclusion, the educational institution, with teachers and pedagogical staff, can carry out activities and teach through the digital model with excellence and respecting the diversity present in each family.
