Abstract

This article explores the participation of the APAE Brasil delegation at the 17th Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD),
emphasizing key discussions and their implications for advancing the rights of persons with
disabilities in Brazil. The article analyzes the main topics addressed at the Conference, such as
inclusive technological innovation, emergency response for persons with disabilities, climate
change, and the right to decent work. Drawing on the contributions of the Brazilian delegation,
the article reflects on the challenges and opportunities for the social and economic inclusion
of persons with disabilities, as well as the role of institutions in promoting public policies that
ensure their full participation in various spheres of social life.
