Abstract

This article aims to present an organized and systematized way the main and most common motor alterations found in people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Throughout this article, we intend to go into the fundamentals that claim the autistic condition, contributing to enrich the knowledge of physical therapy evaluation’s importance in the person with autism. This work was based on a bibliographic survey that was conducted through the Pubmed, SCIELO and PEDRO databases used for its creation, articles published in full and with free access in English and/or Portuguese and classic articles from 2008 to 2019 being chosen only texts that cited some type of motor disorder in children with ASD. It is our intention to contribute and facilitate the understanding of the importance of physical therapy in this treatment, allowing these professionals a new look at the autistic condition.
