Abstract

This work discusses a successful project experience developed at the APAE of Maracajá-SC with the Specialized Educational Service (SAE) and the Work Experience Service (SVL) classes. The relationship between technology and accessibility can ensure inclusion, participation, and interaction of the person with a disability in society. The project’s main goal through the live was to give more visibility to the students’ capacity before the community, giving them an experience of empowerment and autonomy and showing the community that the person with disabilities can be the protagonist of their story. To do so, students participated in a live selling event of the products they made. Through the use of digital technologies, the students were able to express themselves freely, have their work appreciated, and experience an increase in self-esteem and empowerment.
