This article highlights the importance of building an interrelationship and intersectionality and the possible confluences between the multiprofessional work of the APAES, an institution that stands out for its pioneering spirit and capillarity, being present in more than 2 thousand municipalities throughout the national territory, acting in the areas of education, health and social assistance, constituting a network of protection and defense of the rights of people with intellectual and multiple disabilities and the AEE in common education - the specialized educational service that is provided in a complementary or supplementary way to students with disabilities, pervasive developmental disorders, high abilities/giftedness - which may occur in regular classrooms or in Multipurpose Resource Rooms. Based on this premise, the article turns to the discussion of prejudices and oppressions that are materialized against people with disabilities, the lack of investments in special and inclusive education policies and the difficulties encountered in accessing the labor market, bringing notes for the re-signification of that process.
