Abstract

This article discusses the use of the podcast as a pedagogical tool for integration and
orality recovery for students of the Aging Program of APAE Belém. It started as a strategy to
maintain online services through the use of Information and Communication Technologies in
times of pandemic. Considered an audio-sharing tool, it is a discursive oral textual genre and
has been increasingly used for pedagogical purposes. The use of podcasts gained prominence
with the development of the “Papo Firme Podcast” project that aims to bring students together
through the use of technological resources, aiming at integration, rescuing friendship bonds,
orality and affection among the students who are part of the Aging Program of APAE Belém.
The experience report was used as a methodology and its applicability had a positive impact
on orality, mental health, quality of life, self-care and social and digit inclusion of people with
Intellectual and Multiple Disabilities.
