Vol. 18 No. 2 (2022): Apae Ciência

The issue of disability has raised reflections in the scope of human and social sciences, in order to involve the most different groups of professionals and institutions, demonstrating its polysemic, interdisciplinary and transversal character. Therefore, in this Special Dossier of the Apae Ciência Magazine, there is a set of articles that establish multiple dialogues involving issues such as sexuality, neuropsychological interventions, access to health, evaluation protocols, functional curriculum, habilitation and rehabilitation, right to education and access to work, with reference to the issue of intellectual disability.

This Special Dossier was organized by the Coordinator of the Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa Uniapae São Paulo, Dr. Denise Gisele Silva Costa, who is also a member of the Editorial Board of this journal, and is composed of articles submitted at the II and III On-line Scientific Congress of the Federation of APAEs of the state of São Paulo, which had as their themes “Public Policies and the implementation of rights of people with disabilities” and “The challenges for the social inclusion of people with intellectual and multiple disabilities and autism today”.
